On Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, The Salvation Army is holding a job fair at the Corps Community Center located at 100 S.W. 9th Ave in Fort Lauderdale to attract applicants to fill 80 bell ringer positions.
Interested candidates should be able to stand for several hours and greet customers and passersby. An outgoing personality and affinity for the holidays are a definite plus. The bell ringer position pays $8.50 an hour.
The iconic red kettles and bell ringing have been an American tradition since 1891. The Red Kettle Campaign runs from November to Christmas Eve and helps fund The Salvation Army’s shelters, social services, and other year-round programs.
